Ellen Kessling
Dietitian

Ellen is a qualified Dietitian, Nutritionist and Exercise Scientist with a background in Cardiology Research. She is passionate about optimising diet and lifestyle to enhance health and manage symptoms and progression of disease. Ellen is interested in the ‘whole person’ approach and is dedicated to looking at all potential factors causing ill health in her clients, along with dietary advice to help clients achieve optimal health.

She obtained her Nutrition and Exercise Science degree at The University of Adelaide and went on to complete her Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University gaining experience in clinical areas of oncology, haematology, post-surgical management and general medicine. She is registered as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with Dietitians Australia. Recently, Ellen also completed Monash University’s online training course: The Low FODMAP Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Ellen is qualified to undertake general dietary assessment, analysis and provide advice on optimising health through a balanced diet, particularly for those with lifestyle diseases, allergies, intolerances and alternative dietary patterns such as vegans and vegetarians. She is trained to provide dietary advice for those including, but not limited to, heart disease, diabetes, liver disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, malnutrition, paediatric and pregnancy health.

Ellen’s main interest areas include gastrointestinal health, irritable bowel disease, inflammatory bowel disorders, women and pregnancy health, paediatric health, vegan and vegetarianism.
